Getting auto fire with my AR10 type rifle

Put together my AERO M5 Upper and lower, 243 AR and used a CMC trigger group. Getting multiple firings with single trigger pull, I have never had this issue with my AR15's with CMC triggers. I don't think they are adjustable. Any suggestions how to fix?

Are you saying the BCG may be too light? I am using CCI 450 primers
I'm saying that it may be too heavy, or returning too hard. It can be overgassed, or too much weight in the bcg. In all ar style rifles, when a round is cycled, the round in the chamber will have it's primer tapped by the firing pin when the bcg slams forward. If you don't believe me, sample any other ar you have. Military primers are designed for this, and are harder, so it won't detonate them. You don't have to use military primers, but if you don't, you can't have the bolt return to battery with too much energy, or you'll get what you're getting.

I had that happen to my Rise Armament trigger. The set screws had worked their way out.

Scroll down to "tighten the set screws:

I'm guessing a single stage? Maybe a little tighter grip on the grip and hold pressure back on the trigger when it breaks or a 2 stage. The little tighter grip worked for me.

You have already been given some great advice.
I've had the same issue with a 6mm Creedmoor AR10 I built on Aero upper and lower receiver. I was able to resolve the issue by adjusting the gas block. I was over gassed. Even though I wasn't pulling the trigger, the firing pin in the bolt carrier group had enough momentum to set off the primer on the 2nd round. It probably happened only 1 out of 5 or 10 shots.

I had a titanium firing pin that wasn't as round and smooth as most the stainless still firing pins. I switched that out as well which seemed to help. I've probably only fired a couple hundred rounds in that gun since fixing the problem, so I can't say for certainty it is 100% resolved.

I'm using a 2 stage Geissele trigger. I'm also using a JP silent capture spring. My issue was not the trigger and it doesn't sound like it in yours either.
Switching primers would also help. If you are over gassed, it puts unnecessary stress on your gun, so you would want to correct that, even if it isn't causing problems at the moment.

This is what I was thinking. The only time I've ever had a second one go off was due to this while shooting off bags or a lead sled.

CMC triggers uses zero set screws. They use antirotational screws for the pins.

i bought an AR style 9mm pistol from PSA with their EPT trigger...i would get three and 4 round bursts from that no matter what i did. i called and they sent me a new trigger.

no more issues. might just be a trigger issue. like brandon sneed said call the factory, they need to know about this. you shoot that gun at the range with a LEO there and you could wind up in a tough spot.

Sounds like internal trigger malfunction, hammer not catching disconnector
Bingo, bad trigger. You can't be expected to pull a trigger perfectly every time for it to not double. If it doubles, it's defective unless you're trying to bump fire or something like that. My Benelli Monte from the 90's is doubling sometimes now, it needs to go back which stinks they can't just send me a new trigger group.

Don't send it to beretta USA for warranty work. They literally stole the last rifle i sent them. They've had it for 5 years this month. Refuse to speak to me. Go to the BBB site where you will find that they have an F rating. Read the stories and you'll find out that they do this all the time. Better to pay a gunsmith for the repair than gamble with your gun. I don't buy anything they sell anymore. Before you ask, I've tried everything, even called a few lawyers, and there's nothing anyone can do.

I built a custom AR Aero and bought a very expensive bolt carrier group RCA Titanium ..
It was over gassed and even my Buffer wasn't heavy enough...ohhh it was sending
2-3 down range ....NOT good... Slam firing
I had to go Heavy Sprinco spring ...H4 Buffer and superlative gas block ...
NEVER buy a titanium bolt group ....I wanted light weight ,, I got troubles
I have some orange MIMTAC trigger ....

If the new trigger fixes it, I’ll buy the bad one!!
I may or may not know of a rifle that will 3 round burst every trigger pull. Pretty fun actually…as long as you know it!!!

Yes, if the bolt moves too fast for the reset to catch the hammer you can have a problem. Buffer weight and gas control problem. Firing pin floats and has enough inertia to fire. Some AKs had the problem, hold off spring added to stop it.
