Full moon female coyote tonight

1st stand we went to a farm where we heard a pack about 10 days ago. With the full moon we set up in an equipment shed about 150 yds from the wood line. I ran through a couple of howl series and we heard the pack answer but pretty far out. There were a few grazing deer in the adjoining field. I howled again and we noticed the deer run out of the field. Within a minute or two we saw 2 coyotes come in from that field. They ran right past us and were just below the knoll. one popped up on the crest, the 2nd was just below with only the head showing. We picked the one that was fully exposed and double tapper her, DRT. I was using my back up NV scope tonight because my thermal is enroute to the manufacture for repair and I could not get on the 2nd one. We possibly could have had a double if I had the thermal but I'm happy with 1 everything considered. It's been 6-7 years since I've used NV and I really miss my thermal.

Mike l bet it looked kinda strange looking thru NV
Yes it is a lot different than thermal. One mistake that I made last night was when my buddy said that there were coyotes coming in I dropped the scanner and immediately went to the scope. I should have looked at them through the scanner first to get a better idea of where they were. I had a very hard time finding them because they did not "pop" like they do with thermal. Add to that my NV scope has a much narrower field of view.
My NV is Gen 3 with a very good image but it just does not compare to a quality thermal scope. I'm really hoping that they get mine fixed and back to me ASAP.
