This is pretty much my thoughts as well. They’re going to come in, or they’re not. I’ve had success and failure under every condition, moon phase, wind direction you can think of. High winds are my biggest issue. This year high, gusty winds from the east and southeast seem to be the new normal. This season is proving to be tougher than normal.I've honestly never paid a bit of attention to moon phases or barometric pressure or anything like that. I go when the wind ain't blowing hard. That's about all I pay attention to is wind speed and direction. In my opinion if you set up and there's a coyote laid up out there at any given time it's either gonna come in or it's not going to care and leave. There's a good chance it's gonna be hungry, horny or wanting to fight if it's in ear shot of that call. If you're not there to make noises to see which one of those it is, you'll never know.
Yep, me too. I listened to a FoxPro podcast a while back and John asked Tory Cook this question. His response was basically this - don't worry about the moon, just go call. If it works for him, it'll work for us.I've honestly never paid a bit of attention to moon phases or barometric pressure or anything like that. I go when the wind ain't blowing hard.
