Posted a hog kill last week or so in the predator forum accidentally, but the same scenario tonight.
I went out to make a coyote stand since I figured I screwed it up last time shooting the hog. I parked a good ways away from where I wanted to call from and got my gear and started walking.
I was scanning as I was walking and saw something about 300yds away and knew right away it was too fat for a deer, lol.
I dropped the call and dropped down off the road I was on and got on the same feed trail it was on. I got within 100yds and took the shot. The cool thing is I was loaded up with the new Nosler 110gr Varmegeddon bullets. Can’t remember who recommended them, but thanks!! No exit and had to hunt for the entrance wound.
The video is from the scope (no sound), the sound effects are something my 10yr old added in. It’s crazy what kids can do now a days, lol!

Nice going Spur. What do you do with them? Probably varies with the property or even the time of year, but do you just leave them where they fall pretty much? Or do you bring them all to a dead pile or something?

Good job, Mark. I love the 110 VG in the .308 but have never shot a hog with one. Works wonders on coyotes. Where did you hit the hog?

Best I could tell in the neck…had to hunt for the entry, but it was about exactly where the crosshairs were. The CoreLokts gave me a good reference entry based on the exit, lol. I’m guessing a .22 might have done the same. If I get another chance I’ll try shoulder or behind to see what they actually do.

That is impressive; can I borrow him for a couple hours to get my computer to speak to me? 🤣

Looks like base of ear, which explains dropping in his tracks!
