Got this female yesterday at 3:45 afternoon. Remington 788 in 243 cal. and Hornady 87gr Vmax, POI can be seen just behind left elbow and no exit. She came to the call from across an open hay meadow, shot at about 80 yds.

Congrats 22Mag! That’s great! I haven’t killed one since early November 24! Still praying for conditions to improve here in NY. Buried in deep snow, stupid crazy winds. Been awful forever it seems. Gave it an attempt a couple nights back. Hit a deer on the way! Kinda ruined my headspace. 😡 My luck has to turn around at some point. Glad you had a good hunt. Stay after them.

Hunt, this is my backyard on last Friday Jan. 10. I measured snowfall at 11 inches. The picture of the coyote was Jan. 14, that's how fast snow leaves here most of the time. I anticipated travel trouble to get to my hunt but everything was OK. Hope you had no bad damage from the deer. Perseverance will win the day so keep trying.(y)

Thanks fellas. Not an incredible amount of damage. The messed up part is that a little over a year ago, I hit a deer about 50 yards from this one! I was literally saying to myself “This is right where I hit a deer last year” when this little buck comes hauling across the road and I hit him! The one last year caused $13k in damage to my wife’s new car. We hadn’t even made the first payment on it!

dang Bob, is there another road you can take :ROFLMAO:
Well Mike, there are alternate routes, but where’s the fun in that? Gotta keep things spicy... Live on the edge! Lol…

Little fun fact for any hockey fans… Both deer hits were in front of Rob Esche’s home/deer sanctuary!

Second fun fact… He started his professional career with the Phoenix Coyotes!

Your snow is leaving faster than ours. We had a half inch off ice first though. We've had light thaw in the daytime and freeze at dark. This snow is so loud you couldn't sneak in on a dead coyote .Nice job on the first of the new year. Thanks for posting it.
