Factory 204 ammo choice

What is or who makes the best factory ammo for a 204 ruger with a 1-12 twist barrel?

This will be a AR build with 22” barrel

Looking at the 36grain sierra

Depends on your intent for the ammo and your specific rifle. I naver shot the 36gr Sierra load.

For coyote specifically, HSM with 35 gr Berger has been the most accurate from my 12 twists and with excellent terminal performance. Nosler with both 32gr and 40gr NBT were both great coyote medicine with the 40’s getting the terminal nod and the 32’s getting an accuracy advantage.

For pure accuracy, Hornady Superformance 32gr were hard to beat. 40’s were lackluster in my two 204’s. Terminal performance of the 32’s was terrible in my experience on coyotes.

I’ve had great success with Fiochi 32 grain. Minute of prairie dog for years.

This will be a coyote gun, so I read the 36 grain sierras shoot good with good performance
