Been pretty slow lately, Coyote here and there. Finally had these two come in separately. First one came in slow, once seen the dog, came in hot. Dog worked him back and forth for a bit. After I shot that one she went out. She started opening up out of view. Next thing I know here she come bringing in another one. Right into 3 yards. Wish I knew how to post videos on here

That is something that looks really fun !!
Nobody around here that I know of uses dogs.

Thank you! Hopefully get me a couple more of them down the road
Nice, is he a cur mix of some sort. Man I’m surprised that coyote worked the dog as well as it did. I haven’t had much luck running my dog in the winter months, usually just hunt her in the spring and summer when they are aggressive. You don’t run into issues with him running off young coyotes?

Solid mountain cur. This is my first year hunting with a dog. I do occasionally scare a coyote off, but been fortunate to seem to still be getting good action regularly.
even if I run one off. I don’t look at it as an issue. My dog gets to see a coyote, she still gets out there and try’s working it. I see it as an opportunity to get her exposure and confidence. And that way when I call that coyote again when they are more aggressive, she’s prepared.
And just comes down to that she’s my hunting buddy, I don’t feel like I could go with out her.

Yes sir you’re doing it the right way. Try and get as many coyotes in front of him as you can. My dog went everywhere with me when she was a pup and it makes a big difference. Sounds like you have the doggin bug for sure!!

I’m for sure hooked! And I’m not sure about this but seems when I’m calling for ranchers and some of the places that have livestock. The coyotes seem less dog shy. Could possibly cause they are use to seeing dogs
