Excellent point that gets back to the "why" of the hunt. What you describe is predator management and has different requirements than my recreational hunting. That type of hunting fills a specific need of the landowner. I don't have access to or hunt private land, and many public land ranchers out here would rather have coyotes than the jackrabbits they eat, so I don't have a hard time taking the summer off. Fall is soon enough.
