For those with Ruger Americans in .22-250, the new stagger feed mags for the .308 family work properly. My .22-250 of course came with the rotary mag. It didn't feed well because of the taper on the .22-250 case. Also, in really warm weather the cartridges would often stand straight up in the mag. I called Ruger and they sent me another rotary mag. It did the same. I read somewhere that the .450 Bushmaster mag would work, and it did for me, but I didn't like the sow belly protrusion. When I saw a stagger feed mag, I bought it and it works as it should. Don't be afraid of a great cartridge in this rifle because of a sloppy mag.
