Im looking for a good recipe for coyote. babbyback coyote ribbs, baked stuffed coyote, or coyote cordon bleu. Thanks in advance for the info.

Welcome to the board woodcock.
I don't think Johnny Stewert or Fox Pro print recipes on the box labels anymore, so if you move this on up to the clubhouse you might get better responses.

....second thought; maybe not!

Umm... Well, let me help ya out by moving this topic over to the Cubhouse, I'm sure Encore has a few idea's for ya... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wanted to thank all you guys for the homemade E-caller. Made one just like you said. I used a cd player for mine and along with the r.s. parts, I made a spool/reel with 100ft. of light speaker wire.
Downloaded Goldwave, recorded my own sounds with a cheap computer microphone using lip squeaks(which I learned here also) and a raspy coaxer.
The first time I tried it, (without the 100ft. extension) the woods lit up right over my head!crows, bluejays, ravens flocked over. I heard
noises in the woods getting closer and then two
eagles landed 15ft. above me. I thought for a moment "If I play this call one more time, I'm gonna get mauld" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Whatever was on the ground close by, I never seen. There is'nt many
open areas on the island, So I made up the 100ft.
extension. Well anyway, thanks. Will keep you guys posted.

Again, i can't say enough about the username-- i love it!!!

There have been SEVERAL posts in the past dealing with eating coyotes. Search and you'll find some recipes.

However, i think the best thing to do is to do what i did: get yourself a mail-order bride from Bangladesh. Put her in the kitchen with a fresh coyote and some T-Fal, you'll be smackin' your lips and rubbing your belly before you know it.

These sites will get you started:

Now THAT'S what i call tasty!!!!

Encore... LOL
Once again, his name is aka Timberdoodle, not what your Gutter Head has running around inside it... LOL

Woody,
You can't be serious about the recipe thing, can you?

I will be up in your great state next week, Hunting Coyotes. I'm all too excited. I hope my luck is better there than PA so far... LOL

Electronic calls are cool in Maine, right?

Woodcock, timbernoodle, proud mary, Willie Johnson, pitched tent, screamin' chicken, bone pile, Erector set, right stork, Großer schlechter Knochen, what's the difference???

Yes! I'm serious, well kinda! And besides, if my cat don't eat'em I will! It's gonna taste like chicken, right? Probly not as good as a mail order bride but palletable I'm sure.
Maine got two good snow storms, as you all did south of us. I have 2ft. in the dooryard and the deer have just starter to move around again after the last one. I went hunting last night. It was an -easy to get to spot, but not a good one.
Night hunting started jan. 1st. and ends april 30th. E-callers are totally cool. Fox is still open till Feb. 28th. Bobcat is open till jan. 31st. and Rabbit till mar. 31st.
Yes! The Woodcock is OVERLY endowed for a migratory game bird species, but Grober schlechter knochen, I think not! Guy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Woodcock,
What sort of license is required for Bobcat? I can't seem to find it on Maine's IFW website. I guess I'll pass on cats next week. I'll be happy with some coyotes and fox... snowshoe hare, too!

I'm looking at the 2002 rule book which is good till july 2003. Bobcat is part of the regular big game license ( the non-res. version $85.00) The small game license does include coyote, fox and
rabbit. ($55.00) Coyote night hunting permit $2.00
for resident or non-res.. Use of lights is o.k.
The way I read it, Bobcat can not be taken at night.

Your reply about the mail order bride was hilarious,I kept looking and laughing my head off. I showed it to a bunch of co-workers and they were dying laughing. You are one funny b.....d, your sense of humor is like mine, no holds barred. You really gave my day a lift.

MICHAEL MICKELSON - Hoooo Maaaannnn pleaase don't encourage him ............. But I have to admit this was one for the classic Encore files. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
