Looking for suggestions for a close range rifle/NV scope combo to be used out of a blind…Mostly raccoons, fox and possible coyote.
Range 20-40yds, 60yds absolute max
Looking at a Bergara BMR 22WMR.
Wanting something light, compact and easily maneuvered.
What are you guys using?

Since I know that you are a man that doesn't mind spending the money on a good rifle I'd go with the CZ 457. The stainless model is also threaded.

As for scopes I would think that any of them would work for what you wanting. I'd just go with the least base mag.

The DNT Zulus HD is a base mag of 3x.

RIX t20 for like $500 now, but it's a 3.5x.
The PARD ds-35 is another one, but its a 4x.

The AGM Neith is 2.5x.

If base mag isn't an issue I'd go with the AGM Spectrem LRF 4k, but it's overkill for what you want.

I don't have much to provide other than if I was in that situation and looking at 20-60 yard shots, I'd grab my 300BO shooting subs all day long before my 22mag.

I do this with my 308 and subs (because I don't have a 300). The thing that annoys me about it though, the bullets drop so dang fast.

I think my biggest issue is actual rifle length…moving between windows with the suppressor has proved to be not a great scenario.
I do need to run suppressed as I’m very close to house/neighbors…that’s why I was leaning towards a Rimfire.
I do have a 300BO upper, but it’s a 16” and add 8” of suppressor to that it gets too long.

The more I think about it a BullPup may be a good choice…idk but needs to be short.
My Rimfire suppressor is a HuxWrx Flow Ti…about 5”

After talking with the guys at my gun shop, I think I’ve decided on an AR Pistol for my purposes. As always Appreciate your guys comments and advice

AR Pistol in 300 BO, 10" or longer barrel. This was cast stuff, PB and GCd. Bout 13-1400 fps.

20 VT, 20 Practical or 223 are my choices from the distances you mentioned out to 300 yards (+-). Any of these with a 15" barrel. Shooting on a low power, the shooter can see their hits and misses.

This is a close range rig I put together for hog hunting in residential areas. I needed something really quiet and I ended up with this Ruger American Gen 2 Ranch in 300BLK. I made sure it was a shooter before I purchased the MDT Field Stock to replace the cheap factory stock.

I am using an AGM Rattler TS25-384. This is the first generation Rattler and it has a lower base mag than the V2 model so the FOV is 14.9 Degrees. I would try to keep your FOV at least 12 degrees for a close range unit.

This Ruger is a tack driver with Hornady 190 grain Sub-X ammo.
