The c4 cottontail is a very easy blowing high pitch distress capable of raspy baby jack on the low end and high pitch bird cries on the high end. This is my number one open reed I suggest to new callers as there is almost no way to blow it wrong!
The wood is a locally grown wood called caragana. When stabilized black the grain pops very prominent and looks super cool contrasted against the reddish brown Heartwood.
