burris eliminator 3 settings question .

First thing Hello and great looking forum here .

Just received my Burris eliminator 3 scope and have some questions on setting it up . I have it zeroed in at 100 M . in the picture I have a arrow beside the cartridge I'm using . My area is around 1566 Ft above sea level , so does the chart say to change the bullet drop by -6.3 " for every 1000 ft ? so would I adjust mine -9.8 " ?
Another thing , it shows to adjust the bc +.008 for every 1000 ft , that does not make any sense since you can not enter decimal places in the scope .

ideas and thanks

You will have to keep us updated on how you like it. I have one on order or I guess I should say backorder. Can't wait to get it and try it out.

I set mine up leaving the bc at what was on the bullet box. I sighted in at 100 and set the scope based on the chart like you have pictured. It was about 6" off at 385. I adjusted the scope purely on the drop part and kept shooting until I was dead on at 350. Then moved out to 750 and a big target. It was very close. Its pretty hard to get a zero wind shot at 750 yards to set it up absolutely perfect. That said, I regularly shoot a 10" dinger at 550 yards with my .223 the way its set up now.

Called Burris - for my 1566 FT elevation -9.8 " so off the chart 185 " - 9.8 " = 175 " drop

the BC for 1566 FT for every 1000 Ft - .008 so the new BC = .2 + .012 or .212 .

entered in 21 . Guess what , it shoots right on at 750 Meters ..

Wooo hooo

Shot a porcupine at 225 Meters and one at 178 Meters tonight ..

Love the scope . Will post more .

thanks people ..

NP , thanks for replying .

I have to wait a little longer before I can get on some of the roads ( some have 4 - 6 ft of snow on them ) for some target practice .... Soon the beaver will also be out . So look out animals ...

I just recieved my Burris E3 and so far I really like it. I have not shot it, but the glass looks good looking through it and ranged out to 945 yds with it as that's the furthest I could get down my street. Will be getting some loads and ballistics worked out soon.

Jarhead........Give us a field report on the new glass if you use it on 'yote's! I am thinking about getting one for my 20TAC AR!

Yeah I doubt I will unless it's an opportunity coyote. It is on my 300 win mag and it's not real light or cheap to be using for coyotes. I plan on posting up my results with my big game hunts though. That is if I actually get any tags.

Sounds good Total I will let you know. I have to decide what bullets I am going to shott. Can't decide if I want to go 185gr or something 200gr or more.

Also how are you likeing the scope?

really liking it - clear optics noticed a big difference with the sun shade attached . Kind of expensive for shooting skunks / porcupines / beavers / coyotes / wolves ... etc .. but it works 100 % after you have it adjusted ..
