Kind of bummed as I am pretty much done for any type of shooting or much of anything really for a bit.
Had a couple of warts on my right hand, one on my index (trigger finger) and one on my Pinky finger.
Had been to a determologist a few months ago to get them removed and it didnt work. He did some infrared thing and had some kind of cream to use on them which had acid in it.
And it didnt work.
So went back the first of this week. This time they had to physically remove them. Which meant cutting them out...or more like dig them out.
Now I have really bad open wounds where they were that are around 3/8" in dia on each finger and are crazy sore.
So now im stuck to doing nothing with that hand. No telling how long its going to be till they are healed up where I can use them again.
Almost now wish I wouldn't even have had anything done..But it did need to be done.
Crazy how much you don't realize how much you realize you use 2 fingers until you cant use them.
Got 4 rifles that need shot to get sighted in as well as load development on a couple of them and hurts bad enough to try and pull the trigger i am just going to wait.

About a month for surgical skin cancer removal to heal. Had a big wart burned off when I was a kid (elec arc cutter). Couple months for that too IIRC.

Are you married? If so, at least you have 'that' avenue covered, lol.

Sorry to hear that. When possible, I try to avoid anything that interferes with my hunting time.

It’s bad when you have body issues/parts that need taken care of but you put things off due to future outdoors activities!! Dealt with a jacked up hip for 6 months before having it repaired during the “off season.” I’d rather be in pain and be able to do something than be laid up from surgery and not be able to do it.

Man… At 55 yrs old, I’ve worn out and had repaired lots of body parts. It sucks, but I guess when you play hard, and work hard, you wear stuff out. Point is Champ, you’re gonna heal up. Probably faster than you think. It sucks to sit on the sidelines, but myself and others kind of rely on this message board to take some of the sting out of it! Hang out, read stories and join in some conversations to help pass the time.

Good luck in your healing up buddy. You’ll be back at it before you know it!

Had some skin cancers on my face , swear when she was done the hole was the size of a penny and 3/8 deep. She put in at lest 30 stitches in an inch and a half so tight unbelievable and when they healed u have to look close to see the spot. 3 on the right side of my face. Might want to have a dermatologist look at it

Similar experience. Mine was the size of a pencil eraser. By the time they got it all cit out it was the size of a half dollar. Wish my scar was less noticeable.
