bobcat trapping

im new to trapping but know the basics pretty well .my question is on a bobcat set witch is better urine or gland lure. and is a dirt hole set with something hanging in the air for an attractor ok. thanks
 
You will get probably 100 or more different respones on this one. The best advice I can give you is to start out trying a couple of different sets until you find something that is working. I like to use either a lure or urine in combination with a bait. Sometimes I have something for eye appeal and other times I dont. Find what works and go with it.

my dirthole sets for cat are big, probably 6" across and i use two, with the trap between the holes forming a triangle, use a clod of dirt or golfball/baseball size rock as a jaw guard. i try to force the cat from one hole to the next. i use lure,bait, and urine. or i change it up with just bait and urine. the flagging is good, i like wadded up cassette tape with strings of it pulled out of the wad. my 2 pennies.
