Blue girl

My 1st stag hound when I was a young man. Our family has always owned a dog since before I was born. So I've loved dogs since then(I've never liked cats, ok well except for 1). Anyway, Blue girl, was 1/2 Greyhound & 1/2 Scottish Deer Hound. She was what some call a "hairy dog"/sighthound. I couldn't afford to keep her when I was young. So I gave her to an old farmer coyote houndsman. He wanted her to use as a "Breeder" female. One day his hounds chased a large male coyote into a large brush pile. The coyote turned inside of that brush pile to face the hounds. One by one. he sent in his best hounds. To pull that coyote out. Blue was still in his truck/hound box. So frustrated with his other hounds. He sent Blue in. She fought that coyote face to face in those tight quarters. Finally getting the upper hand. And pulled that coyote out by the side of his face. She did turn out to be more than just a breeder. That farmer told me that story. One day & he was surprised of her grit. I had to smile when I heard that. When she matured. If I recall, she weighed around 75-80? lbs.

Her muzzle was dark blue when she was a pup. So I named her Blue.

Speed and endurance comes down on the greyhound side, endurance and grit from the staghound side, excellent cross for your purposes.(y)
