Hey all, i'm new here and this is my first post.
I'm in the market for a predator decoy and would like some feedback as what works the best for you.

Thanks in advance, DAVE

adopt a cat with a rope around its neck in a cage. that way you can tug on it & get ur to meow. sounds pretty mean but boy does it work. the yotes just come running in. this one time i had about 7 or 8 yotes surrounding it. i almost did not shoot because i wanted to see what the cat would do. people think this is mean / unethical but i disagree. the reason behind my madness is that they were going to put the cat to sleep anyway, at least now he has a warm kennel to sleep in outside(has a blanket) and one meal a day. i try to find the ones that are white or orange that way they seem to stand out better. just kidding, try a whirling wood pecker or jack-in-box(jib).

I made my own out of a feather duster. I also have a crow decoy made out of a black sock; last weekend I forgot my decoy and used a white plastic bag filled with rocks. When the coyote came in he went right for it. (It did look kind of like a white rabbit, though.) I also know some one who uses a mojo dove that he bought for dove hunting.

I have the Predator Supreme decoy and i cant wait to try out my new Woodpecker decoy. It looks like it will work. I also have the feather flex fawn decoy. VM

if you are going to use the whirling woodpecker keep a look out for hawks, I had one to swoop down at mine, but I made a move, and it seen me and I saved my whirling woodpecker, great decoy

Yeah owls and eagles love them too. I use the woodpecker decoy above my Jack in the box. I carry it in the JIB case.

And the best resource you have is the S-E-A-R-C-H feature here on the forums. Use that and you'll have all the reading you need for an evening to compare decoys. I like the Predator Supreme, welcome to Predator Masters.

For territory disputes and breeding season dogs, I will use and old archery (faom) coyote target. Brings in Alpha male pretty fast. Just another tool of the trade...JOHN /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Sometimes i will take a fur that i have and have a string tied to it and hang in on a fence wire or branch, and they yotes see the movement and come in quick, the fur type dosent really matter

Welcome to the board!

Just about anything will work if you set it up right. I have numberous decoys with the newest one being the Whirling Woodpecker. This one is really compact and lightweight using just one AA battery. Another one I like is my Rigor Rabbit. It has the motor but I don't use it exept for weight to hold it up. FoxPro's new remote decoy is another one that works well with the FoxPro caller. I have a Feather Flex Fawn decoy that works well in certain areas and times of the year. It is not an all around decoy in my opinion.

Feathers tied on a string, one of those little battery powered dogs that bark and move, or stuffed toys work well too.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback...
I ordered a whirling woodpecker and a predator enticer, I had pictured the woodpecker up in the tree with the clump of feathers tossing about below him as a good setup. The woodpecker I recieved is not as depicted on outfoxed's site however...They show the bird whirling VERY slowly, mine whirls like a propeller. I am a little disappointed with that as it looks like a blur rather than movement.
