Batteries

What type of Batteries do you guys run in your ecallers? My Foxpro takes (8) AAs and I have been running standard Alkaline batteries (Energizer or Duracell) however if the temps are below freezing I’m lucky to get 4-5 stands out of them. I’m thinking about trying Lithium but do they handle the cold better?

Lithium batteries handle the cold way better than alkaline batteries. No question there. They're pretty pricey, and when they're dead, they're dead. I run lithium batteries in my trailcams for their ability to handle the cold and they last a long time. Like jmeddy suggested, Enloop rechargeable batteries are the way to go in a caller. By far the best rechargeable batteries in my opinion.

I use lithiums, be aware you cannot use them below 0f and cannot charge below 32f. The charger is standard USB so can charge in a vehicle or wherever.

I keep a pack of AA alkaline just in case i ever need them in the cold.

My rechargeables are EBLs but for most of my calling and decoys I use Voniko AA alkalines. I buy them in 100 packs from Amazon. The Vonikos seem to last much longer in my decoys.
