As far as tanning and having hat made. I have found a local guy that will do it. he sends the furs to tannery and then when he gets him back, He has a guy that makes the hats out of your fur. as far as reputable I haven't got anything back yet from him. I took him a fox fur to have a hat made like pictured. Last week I took over 3 fox two to sell and one to get tanned Plus a grey for my brother for tanning. One of those foxes had a wounded leg (another story) and had been licking his underbelly. he had some fur missing, so fur value was no good. So I decided to tan that hide. Then he came up with the idea making the hat out of that fur instead of the one that was already at tannery. apparently, they would not use that area in the hat anyways. Based on that I assuming he is really using my fur. He seems like a straight shooter but as I say I haven't got anything back yet. I know more when I get these items back. Hmmm I will have to check that. I know I dint have any problems with the NV scope as I was shooting some squirrel at 100 yards. But I will check it if we get a nice day. My fox bait is at 60 yards so I should be ok at that range .I better the 90-yard bait. Thanks for the tip.
