Arken NV

Anyone have experience with the Arken Zulus HD 5-20R Day/Night Digital with LRF? I usually only night hunt with thermal but I'd like to start day hunting some with the ability to record. I like that this unit has LRF and a ballistic app too for $700. Other considerations are using a Triggercam or a Pulsar Digex C50. Any other suggestions or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Ive been looking hard for a NV scope with LRF
Seems to be complaints of Wi-Fi connectivity with the ballistics app. The 5x FOV isn’t great for hunting. Also the mount isn’t QD if you plan to swap it between rifles.
I’m considering the AGM Neith LRF, the Hikmicro Alpex, looks good also, but that has some complaints on optical clarity, and to me the menu system seems overly complicated from the videos I’ve watched on it.
The Neith seems to be the best bet so far and tick all the boxes, simpler menu system, ADM QD mount standard, and no clarity/focus issues that I’ve seen in any videos.
Pard and I believe Pulsar have options as well, but I haven’t seen much on those.
Hope that helps some.
I had a Sightmark Wraith 4k Mini and wasn’t super impressed with it, so have been looking for a replacement.

I haven't personally messed with a Zulus, but I've watched a lot of comparison videos. I don't know why they decided to make it a 5x. I think a lot of people that would have went with their scope, won't just because of the 5x.

PARD's new scope is supposed to hit the US market soon. I think it's supposed to be similar to the DS models, but in 4k.

I think I’ve decided on going with the Neith LRF… 2.5x on the low end, 18650 batteries, which I have a ton of, also ability to run an external battery. Has the ADM QD mount from factory as well…I really like my AGM Taipan Handheld thermal scanner and have had zero issues with it in 3yrs. Menu is easy to navigate and Firmware updating is also easy. AGM also has a bigger presence in the US than PARD.

I like AGM stuff too.

Buy one and let us know how it works. LOL

After too much time researching and considering options, mainly for a digital day scope with recording functionality, I went with a Pulsar Digex C50. My thermal scopes are Pulsar and I was already familiar with their menus and operation. It would’ve been nice if it had LRF and a ballistics app but the image quality, day and night, has been impressive. It’s way better than what I’ve seen on review videos. I’m very happy with it so far.

I just ordered the RIX T20…will likely buy the Neith as well, but we’ll see how it goes with the RIX.
My RIX is with RIX right now to be repaired or replaced. I’m kinda pissed because they emailed me saying that they can’t get the scope to do the things I said it was doing. I even sent them pics and videos of it messing up, just like they asked. Waiting to see what they decide.

What issues are you having with it?
I’ve read bout the video recording problems. That’s not a feature I plan to use personally.
I just need it to be clear at night to 150yds.

1. It’s very pixelated during the day. A known issue with the t20.

2. Every time I’d take a picture it would turn the screen purple and freeze up the scope. I’d have to turn it off then back on.

3. The sound sucked.

I overlooked all of that because it held zero and took good video, but the last two times I took it out the left side of the screen started flickering like it was about to go out. After that I sent it back.

Good to know, alittle surprised hearing about the day time pixelation…guess I have some things to look out for then. Should be here today and hope to get it setup and play with it over the weekend. Hopefully they take care of yours quickly…did you end up using the rings it comes with? I’ve been planning to get slightly lower ones since I will be using it on a bolt action.

No. They are like 2ft tall. I used a pair of medium warnes.

PARD's new scope in available. They're calling it the "Night Stalker 4k". You might also find it listed as a DS37. Image is really really good. FOV sucks at 20' @ 100 yards. 7x base magnification on what's available. I believe a lower power option is coming.
FWIW- PARD has been bomb proof for me. I own 3 of them. An old 008LRF, an 008sLRF and the Night Stalker. Also own a Pulsar C50.

I posted couple of Night Stalker video's over on airgun nation. Nothing dies, just video.

Lot's of talk and video's posted about Arken's offering over on airgunnation.com in the optics section.

I will hopefully be shooting the RIX on Monday, and i bought a Pard DS35 thanks to DoubleLungRage’s advice…I really like the specs on the Arken but the 5x base mag is alittle too much for my needs. I hear they are due to release a 3x…I am still interested in the Neith as well but the price is alittle high for the amount of use I will likely get out of it.

If Pards new scope is clearer than the ds35 it’s gonna be a dang good one. If pard would take a few features from the Rix t20 it would be nearly the perfect scope.
