Anyone Hunting with a Handgun?

I'm a 90% rifle and 10% shotgun hunter, for varmints and predators. Although, I've had my share of success with a handgun for groundhogs....inside 50 yards.

Has anyone tried their luck with a handgun of any kind, for varmints and/or predators? :unsure:
 
I have killed deer with a Ruger Black Hawk in 44 Mag with a fixed 2x Leupold scope. 90% of my scouting is with a M&P and/or G40 both in 10mm using a Holsun red dot.

IMO....red dots are the only way to go, not just because of weight, but a pistol scope can be difficult to get the eye box right when you have to make a quick shot!
