Used to know of an old trapper in my neck of the woods (SE CO) by the name of Spencer Bridges. I believe he moved to Missouri a number of years ago. He made a lot of closed reed calls out of antler. Used to be for sale on F&T but they no longer have them. I bought a call a long time ago from Spencer and would like to find another. Don't know if he's still around and making them or not, but would like to get my hands on anther.
