Any crappie fisherman here?

I havent been out fishing in a while, I would love to do some fly fishing on spawning crappies, I should get out with my dad. He just caught a monster crappie, just over 2lbs, we havent seen one like that in 20 years since Red Lake was booming with huge crappies.
Haven't been in many years but it was always fun to get into a bunch of them

I am mostly a bass guy but I enjoy taking my wife and/or grandson after crappie, bluegill, and occasionally catfish. A real treat is the Ozark Trifecta, a successful early morning turkey hunt, finding a few morel mushrooms along the way, a nap... and then an afternoon crappie fishing trip. Fried turkey breast, morels, and crappie fillets for dinner! I don't often get it to all come together like that but once in a while the planets align and it is a day to remember.
