A Target Of Opportunity

The intermittent rain during the day along with the cloudy skies once daylight gave way to darkness helped to obscure the 80% moon. As I drove in toward my intended stand the dirt road ran between two fields of beans. As I scanned the field riding in, I saw this female hunting mice along the freshly picked beans. It was a target of opportunity that I didn't want to pass up. I don't think she had any idea I was there. The humidity was high and the thermal was not the best, but like all creatures large or small, she arrived at the end of her earthly existence anyway. I would have preferred to call her in, but the farmer and the neighboring deer club just want them kept in check. She was another one "done dirt cheap" with the gratification that my bullet gave her an almost instantaneous departure.

Thanks for responding guys. Mike, those little Razor bikes have worked so well for us for several years now. We've gone to in hub motors and lithium batteries as well as a few other upgrades. They are whisper quiet and allow us to ride right up to where we make a stand with all the gear on board. They work very well here in this flat terrain but would not function where you are.
