I believe the guy in the black and white video is democrat congressman Larry McDonald from Georgia. He was a patriot in the democrat party back then.

What's interesting about his story is that he was one of, if not the most anti-communist member in the US House of Reps for the time. He died when the airline he was on was shot down by the soviets.
