A few from the last couple weeks

I've been out a couple times and thought I'd post some of the kills. The first is from a freshly dug sugar beet field. They love those things for some reason, but 3 weeks ago they were very hard to call. This guy was working our way but just wandered slowwwwly. Try not to get bored watching lol. Then I made a bad first shot, I discovered later my scope was off 2 pixels right and 1 high iirc.

Fast forward to Saturday night, notice how much better they respond now that we've had a little cold. The first stand a triple comes ripping in, we tried to coordinate our shots but I was late and luckily he stopped for me. The third vacated and wouldn't come back. I wish I had both kills in the frame but was zoomed in.

Later the same night I had a kill I didn't get filmed, he came in super slow. The next stand this guy showed up 140 yds away from an unexpected direction. I don't know how he didn't get our wind either.

Good videos. I've never had coyotes come to my call in the open like that. I could probably die a happy man if it ever happens...lol

That’s interesting. That’s the only way we can see them down here unless you have some good elevation to see down in the brush and happen to catch a glimpse of them.

I normally call them in on cut trails in tall grass on public land. They feel safe moving in it since they have cover. I normally set up on a pinch point and they move down the trail. I have called several private spots and have never seen them in the open. Plots of land a relatively small here in Michigan and most times they're just not there or don't come out. I'm hoping to use some aggressive mating calls to call them in the winter.

The one I didn't film was coming in to my partners mouth call through some crazy grass, it crossed a trail and went by us a couple hundred yards out not presenting a shot as it went by a large L shaped shelter belt on a pivot corner. I picked up my rifle and tripod and hoofed it 1/4 mile to intercept it and caught it in the open. But normally they're out in the open as that's about all we have here lol.
