Whos been using LilGun Powder in the .22 K-Hornet ?
My new to me barrel is on its way here..
Contender 10" barrel.
Wondering what loads to try..

296,H110,(same powder) LilGun,1680 all work in the Hornet along with several others. Just pick one and go for it.
Bought some lil gun..
Have two pounds of 1680..
And a old old can of Hercules 2400

Lilgun has been a strange powder for me. A compressed load in my regular Hornet was accurate fast and showed no pressure signs. The same load in my Bee was loose(not compressed) with the same bullet as the Hornet showed pressure signs, still accurate, wish I would have had a chrono back then. I switched to 1680 in the Bee.

I've had great success loading for a 22 hornet w Lil gun,can't imagine it wouldn't work well in a K hornet. CZ527.

LilGun offers higher velocities, by nearly 200fps, along with much lower pressures, 32,000psi vs. 42,000psi with 1680 or 296.

The lower pressures, and a Lee Collet Die, have me still using brass I bought back in 1992, or so, when I bought the Hornet.

Despite my screen name, I have the standard Hornet, in a Ruger M77 Sporter with the 20" barrel.
