9.3mm's, Who has em?

Have a Sako 85 Classic and a Ruger M77 African in 9.3x62mm and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Being a handloader I am extremely intrigued by its effectiveness and versatility and was wondering about the 9.3x64 Brenneke and the 9.3x66mm (.370 Sako).

Any of you fellas on here handload or shoot any of these 3 and what are your thoughts? Pet loads?

Too much gun for me but I do have a 9.3mm

L to R 243 Win, 6.5x58R Sauer, 9.3x72R while it seems large it is due to it's black powder oorigins and is powered about like a 35 Rem and is found in quite elegant break action weapons, the one above is about the lowest grade you will find, it is from 1907.

Do to the large variations in bore and groove dimensions it uses a two diameter bullet to keep pressure down. It is was a very popular round in Germany in the late 1800's up until WW-II

My smith shoots a 9.3 something? IDK what it is other than the case is huge and it kicks. He killed a nice buck a year or so ago and hit it in the front shoulder. Not much left of the shoulder.

I remember that discussion, I believe your smith shoots a 9.3x74R in a Ruger #1, that round is in the 375 H&H power range.

I love the look of those drillings, regardless of grade. I would pick one up myself if I could find one affordably. I was not familiar with the 9.3x72R, only the 9.3x74R which I have seen used in other forums and videos to great effect. I am just fascinated by them for some reason, I just wish they got the credit the deserve over here in the states.

It's a coyote?

Yes, a Coyote from southern AZ. He had been harassing the ranchers calves and when the rancher saw my PM hat asked me if I would try and take him out. I was there for a sxs shoot and brought this for the 16ga competition. I just happened to find 3 rounds of 2.5" 16ga BBs in the van and I always have a mouth call hanging off the mirror. Killed him at 40 paces and the tied for first shooting trap with the same drilling.

Now I bring a rifle along. Killed a reddish one the following year at the shoot.

The choice of 9.3mm is overkill for a coyote, no?

Not really too big, first I didn't have any 9.3 ammo along, it was a shotgun shoot, second I don't shoot open sights very well anymore and this drilling has a small notch and front sight. I bought this one because it is the same as the first rifle I hunted with a long time ago.

My go-to predator hunting drilling wears a Leupold 1-4x20 scope, 16ga/16ga/6.5x58R Sauer.
