7mm Remington Magnum for big hogs?

Good morning. I’ve never hunted hogs. My son and I got invited to a hunt on a fenced ranch that has eurasian boars. (Hunting a high fence is not my thing, but it is what it is.) My son is a novice, and I am going to have him use my Illinois deer rifle = 350 Legend. I have a bunch of choices as to what rifle to bring. I am leaning toward bringing my elk rifle which is a 7mm Rem. Magnum. I shoot/used 165 grain Federal Trophy bear-bonded bullets for elk. I want to make sure this is just not too much gun for the job. I have little interest in shooting the biggest pig on the plot. I would just assume shoot an eater, etc. Maybe 100-150 lbs, I am not really sure. We are hunting from a box blind. It looks like we will have time to aim, not rushed, etc. If you are shooting a pig for meat, do you shoot them in the lungs like a deer, or go for a neck/brain shot? Thanks.

You'll save a lot of meat taking head shots w/the 7mm mag. Culled a lot of them w/.223 & 55 gr. NBT's. anywhere between the eye and ear or around the ear results in DRT.
