Has or is there anyone who has necked down a .357 maximun to .20cal. If so can anyone point me in the direction to load data and how they went about necking down the case to .2ocal. Was thinking to get a Ruger 77/.357 as the rifle platform for this possible project. Also unsure if the loaded round will fit the rotary magazine if not maybe just neck down a standard .357mag case. Only looking to do this for something different and I have heaps of .357max brass amd .357mag brass.

Necking down 357 max is how you make 222 Rem Rimmed cases. Necking down 357 Mag makes 22 Jet cases. You'll need forming dies, loading dies, custom reamer, and custom barrel sounds like a lot of work for a Ruger 77/57 that isn't known to be a tack driving action.

256 Win Mag cases are made from 357 brass also

Seems like a very big investment that will turn out to be an underpowered 20 Vartag.
