#3 Bridger (2 or 4 coil) around cattle?

Has anyone ever held a cow or calf in a #3 (2 or 4 coil) trap with good lamination? Running good drags and 5-7' of chain what are the chances of actually holding a cow or calf before it powered out?

Would going from 4 coil to 2 coil be insurance against holding one?

I know that trapping around cattle is always a PAIN with snapped traps, mangled sets and other assorted hassles. I am just curious if anyone has actually held one and what the details and situation were. I can deal with the snapped traps and remakes...I'm just nervous about my luck running out and having a trainwreck.

Thanks!

Anchored sets might be better…it’ll give them leverage to pull out. A drag may lead to issues. I don’t trap around cattle but read about a lot of folks that do. Their advice is DON’T, lol.
