25-45 sharps

Been whacking a few with this little power house. The 25cal 70 blitzking with an zmV of 3150 absolutely dumps coyotes. I'm surprised the cartridge isn't more popular. Just neck up 5.56 Cases. Brass is completely expendable. Recoil is very controllable. I ran a 6x45 for a number of years. It anchors coyotes way better than a 223. The 25 Sharps, aka 25 dumper seems to be even better.

I had one of the early barrels and I couldn't get any accuracy out of it.

I'm surprised. This one was pretty good right out the box. 3/4 moa or better. Seems to like 70gr BKs.

Agree, but what impressed me was 3150fps with a 70gr bullet with a 20in barrel using an expendable 5.56 case. No way 223 can do that. My 6mm arc will, barely. I would consider it less reliable in an AR as well.

Big fan of the 25-45! Use 87 grain soft points mainly. Hornady when I had them and now Speer. I get an average of 2780 fps from an 18” SRC barrel. I have a bolt action build planned in a 25-45 also. I have a Shilen blank and am waiting on a receiver now.
