I attended a nighttime gathering in Franklin, where I was subjected to intense pressure. The environment was unforgiving, with dense fog and swirling winds , and my knowledge of the property was limited to map-based information. Furthermore, the group included a self-described professional coyote hunter, whose past efforts on this property had been unsuccessful. Nonetheless, luck was on my side. Following a successful call, three shots were fired, resulting in two recoveries. I did have a great time and endless laughs . We only hunted this one property last night .

I can’t night hunt Ks since their night season is January-March……but I’m staying in Ok and have several thousand acres to hunt.

My main focus is bow hunting Ks. I’m carrying a compound but also taking my recurve too. It’s been several years since I’ve got a buck with a recurve and I may hunt with it some.

I’m carrying my thermal gun, tripod and call in case l get lucky and get a deer early in the hunt.

The two guys I’m staying with are quail hunters and have invited me to hunt with them…..so I’m carrying my shotgun too, just in case.

So I might get to practice up on some western dogs while I’m gone. 😃
