Has anyone used the 21 grain hammer hunter or 30 grain black hole on fox and coyote? How are they on killing power and fur friendly?
 
I shoot a 17 Rem but unfortunately have not used either of these bullets. I stocked up on the Hornady 25 gr HP before they quit regularly making them and have enough to last me for years.
I hope someone out there is using them as I would be interested to know this information. Out of curiosity, are these bullets readily available and where are your sourcing them?
 
All the .172 Hammers are in stock/ready to ship. 55$/100. I would run them in 1/9 twist barrels. I haven't had good experience with 20 gr tipped bullets on coyote. Have plenty of traditional 17 bullets, so haven't tried expensive alternatives. These could be great at 4200+. If 2 inches of penetration before bullet deformation.
