130 grain VLD-Hunting

I have two rifles, a 6.5 Creed and a 270 Win and both shoot the 130 grain VLD-Hunting bullet into tiny groups. Of course its two different diameter bullets but both rifles love this 130 grain bullet. I'm just wondering if any of you have used this bullet on deer and other game and how the results were.

The 130 VLD is my bullet of choice in my 6.5x47 Lapua. Works fantastic on deer.

Good to know. I bought a Tikka 695 in 270 Win and the store made me a deal on two full box's of 130 grain. First range trip showed excellent groups but I had no idea how they might be on game animals. Looks like they work real good.

I've shot several with the 130 or 140 out of a 6.5-284 too.

Here's what an extra 300 FPS does with the 130's on a hard quartering away.

I got the liver, both lungs, and the heart:

I hope I get the same results your getting. Looks like the Bergers are working great for you. Nice buck!! Seasons about over here so I may try the Creedmoor and the Bergers on Wiley Coyote.

I'd be curious to see how the 130's work on Mr Coyote. I've shot quite a few with 22 & 6's, but nothing bigger.

I have a friend that has 20 acres and has a lot of hogs on the place. Its surrounded by two or three other properties that are only used for hunting. No houses, just a hunting shack on one. Maybe I can get him to take a week-end off from skeet shooting and go to his place and possibly shoot a hog or two. A nice pig would be a good test for the Bergers.
