New at this . Just want to learn . Coyotes answer howls , but wont come to prey calls. people put excess food in gardens . could this be the problem ? They seem to be all around .

First ole hat, welcome to PM forum. Give us some more info such as type of terrain where you hunt, size of fields if available, how much land do you have to hunt. Then give us a rundown on your setups. Are you calling upwind, crosswind, or downwind? How far are you from your vehicle? Are you calling day or night? When coyotes answer, how do you respond?

I'm pretty sure the excess food will attract coyotes and not keep them from coming to prey sounds. Fill in some blanks for us and maybe we can help.

Yep, helps if you give some insight into your whereabouts, terrain, day or night, etc.

If you’re getting responses with no shows, there’s a lot of things that could be at play. Bad setup for wind direction. The sounds your using. Overcalling, or not calling enough. Etc., etc., etc.

And for the record, the majority of callers struggle to get that first call in. It can be a difficult puzzle to piece together. A lot of great folks here that can help. We just need to know a little more about your situation. Welcome aboard!
